Ensemble Zlatne Godine
Ensemble "Zlatne Godine" was founded in 2002 and in 2008 it was registered as a cultural orgnaization. Since then, they have performed over 400 times in Croatia, as well as in other countries in the region. Throughout the years, the ensemble has participated in many competitons, where they won 7 golden awards, over 30 silver and around 10 bronze awards. Their repertoire is composed mostly of classical compositions and traditional songs from Croatia and other countries in the world. Zlatne Godine have participated in numerous cultural events, music festivals with heir own music and choir competitions. What they cherish the most is their Christmas performances, and in the last ten years they have had more than a hundred of them. Tonight, they will perform songs by Tomislav Galeković, Siniša Belošević and a special homage to Nikola Bašić, a well known composer and conductor in Petrinja.
Siniša Belošević was born in Zagreb in 1954. He is aeronautics engineer, but since early youth he has been musically active. He did not have formal music education, but learned on its own how to play guitar, how to sing in a choir and how to conduct. In 2002 he was one of the founders of Ensemble Zlatne Godine. Also, he was and still is the conductor of several choirs, including HPD Kučani, Stari pajdaši, Zlatni cifreki. He has won numerous awards for his choirs' performances, both in Croatia and abroad. Apart from conducting, he has also been writing music for many traditional music festivals.
