Klapa Lugarin began with its work in fall of 2017 when a small group of students of Music Academy of Zagreb decided to gather in the klapa. Their primary goal was to perform klapa music and croatian traditional songs. Klapa Lugarin's first public perfomance was at the 6th Festival of Student Klapa held in Student Center Cinema in Zagreb in March 2018 when they took 4th place in overall ranking by the opinion of the professional jury. In Klapa Lugarin's first competition on „Delmata“ competition of klapa singing held this year they won the bronze prize in the category for traditional and open program, and the same year they participated in 7th Festival of Student Klapa. Klapa performed several times at Croatian Radiotelevision (live broadcast of „ETNO, FLETNO!“ show on March 2018, show „Good morning Croatia“), and in June this year they debuted on the famous 53th Festival of Dalmatian Klapa on „Night of debutant“ in Bol on Brač Island. Their great desire is to perform in the final of that renowned festival. The conducter of Klapa Lugarin is Tomislav Poljačić.
Tomislav Poljačić was born in 1991 in Rijeka in musical family (father Nikola is conducter, brother Miroslav is professor of trumpet).
